First Circular
The International Conference “Ore Genesis” will be held in the Institute of Mineralogy from 7 to 9 August 2013. The purpose of the Conference is to present new results of studies on fundamental and applied problems of geology, mineralogy and geochemistry of ore deposits. The official language of the Conference is English.
Preliminary scientific program
– Evolution of ore-bearing structures and models of ore formation
– Comparative analysis of modern and ancient ore formation systems
– Ore facies and mineral and geochemical associations as indicators of physical and chemical conditions of ore formation
– Thermodynamic modeling of ore-forming processes
– Current methods of study, forecast and rational use of ore deposits
– Examination of the unique collection of black smokers and fossil fauna from ancient and modern oceans

Call for abstracts
Abstracts should be written in English in the following manner.

The length of the abstract must not exceed five A4 pages (including tables, figures and references). Abstract should be typed in Times New Roman, 12 pt. All margins are 2 cm and line spacing is 1.5.
References should be cited as follows [Petrov et al., 2010; Wang, 1994].
Figures (*.jpeg, *.gif), figure captions (*.doc) and tables (*.doc) should be sent as individual files. All files should be archived in WinRar or WinZip archives named by surname of the first author.
Acknowledgements should be typed in italic before the references.

Field trip
Two field excursions (before and after the conference) will be organized to massive sulfide, manganese, gold and iron deposits of the South and Central Urals (optional at additional cost). Preliminary dates of excursions: July 28–August 05 and August 10–12. The participation in the first excursion is limited.
Registration fee is going to be US$ 100.
